As a properly taught and practiced martial art, Taekwondo is a non-aggressive and moral system of self-defense. Taekwondo is a martial art very similar to Karate. Karate however tends to focus more on the hands, where taekwondo is a disciple focuses on the hands and the feet; a mental and physical balance. The American Taekwondo Association is globally the single largest martial arts style. The American Taekwondo Association commonly goes by ATA martial arts and has been spreading martial arts and self-defense with over 300,000 schools across the globe. With confidence, disciple, and self-control, there are over 53,000 black belts and over 3,000 dedicated certified instructors.
Taekwondo has been used to improve the lives of millions through fitness training, building a student’s self confidence, self-disciple, and their self-defense. Here at the Supreme ATA of pompano, as well as the entire global network of schools focuses on the art of Songahm Taekwondo. The ATA taekwondo school of Pompano Beach offers the specialized training that helps all students develop their speed, balance and coordination. All students through the guidance of their instructor and support of their family can earn a black belt. Students that have a positive attitude can achieve anything they set their mind to, regardless if it is better school grades, treating their siblings with more kindness and respect, or even a promotion at work.
All taekwondo, fitness and self-defense classes are designed and taught by an ATA certified instructor and 4th degree black belt. ATA Pompano Beach’s head instructor is also a certified personal trainer and Sports Performance specialist Students are trained to the best of their ability to get in shape, gain flexibility, cross train for other sports. Students can start at any age. Every student with disciple, perseverance, and a goal, can increase their confidence, strength, and respect while earning their black belt.
Each time a student comes to class they will be presented with a challenge where if they do their best they will be successful. The instructors of ATA make sure that while the students are challenged, they are never emotionally intimidated or physically injured. All instructors are trained in positive motivated and supreme physical training in order to create positive, dynamic, motivated young leaders. ATA focuses on a calendar of life skills necessary for good grades, good manners, and leading a successful life. Each month there is a major focus on a life skill.

Kind, unselfish behavior, and good manners toward others.
Loyalty:
Staying true and faithful, to a person, idea, cause, duty, or belief.
Goals for your Education:
Setting the goal to increase your education and the focus to reach that education goal.
Respect:
To admire, appreciate, regard, and serve others.
Attitude:
Having a positive attitude to be confident, driven and hopeful.
Goals in your relationships:
Setting the goal to improve your relationships with others and set the steps and plan to achieve that goal.
Perseverance: Never giving up, no matter the challenge.
Honor: Deserving the trust and respect people have in here.
Goals in the community:
Setting the goal to help others, or improve your community and set the steps and plan to achieve that goal.
Self Control:
Having the willpower to see, choose and do what is right.
Integrity:
Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.
These life skills are taught for students in all age groups from elementary to adults of any age. There is a level of training available for all age groups. Children can start as young as pre-school.
Students 3,4,5 or 6 years old are invited to join the tiny tiger class. Students learn to follow directions, show courtesy and respect, as well as establish the skills needed in school to develop good grades and social skills.
Students 7-12 years old are invited to join the Karate for Kids class. This classes covers all the life skills, social skills, and the mental and physical toughness to guarantee success in their life.
All other students 13 years old and above, including adults. Many teenagers and adults join martial arts to get in shape with the ATA fit program. These students are welcome to join the specialized ATA fit and kick boxing program as well as gain all the benefits of Taekwondo.
Through the summer students are invited to enjoy the exciting summer camps offered all summer, as well as even non-students are welcome to come join the fun and excitement as well as the taekwondo training.
